"Voices in Stone"
cast in Bronze

Author Alan Dean Foster wrote the following poem specifically for
Ken’s sculpture upon viewing, Voices In Stone.

"Voices"
By Alan Dean Foster

Incline an ear to the whispering of the Past.
Avian gossip masks the deep secrets as
Pale green ghosts run the chartreuse canyons.
A fecund arpeggio, the thick humus bubbles and seethes
Of spore and seed, mold and decay, rot and rebirth.
Incline an ear, sit quiet on a smooth stone; listen.
Beneath the strangler fig, beneath the moss-bedecked
Amaranth,
Across the smoky quartz, tannin-spiced brook
The
 raw rock speaks

Of those who came before
Now become memory, and whispers of memory
Rain-worn and melted, chased like silver
Flesh becomes dust, laughter becomes wind, tears
Become sky; all fled.
Listen…
